Bob Homan - Xtreme Woodgrains  

Designing wood art furniture and maximizing the way light reflects on unique grains in the wood, is my passion.  My inspiration for design comes from my love of the forest habitat, and my concentration being the tree form projecting so much beauty and diversity.

When you see my art, you’ll recognize wood common to Northeastern United States as well as unique less identifiable woods from other parts of the country and around the world. I have researched, sculpted and studied wood for over twenty years and I’m happy to discuss the variations and practicality of a specific wood for a design.

My work includes lamps (including signed and numbered limited editions) with UL listed parts, furniture, and accessories. I’m a perfectionist who uses only select solid wood for all of my work. I cut some of my own logs into boards to get a particular grain. The majority of my art is one-of-a-kind. My use of the woods grain, color and my design, adds a natural sense of warmth to a room’s aura.
